Junior Church Christmas Outing
This year instead of a party we took a trip to West Lodge Rural Centre at Desborough

Eleven Children and eleven adults pulled on our wellies and warm coats for a very cold but bright day out at the farm park.  Here we played on the slides, climbing frames and swings. Went on the train around the farm. Feed the animals at the petting zone, and walked along the trail to see Father Christmas.

His grotto was the best I had seen this year and the children sat really well as he talked to them and then gave them all a lovely present.

After this we went and took part in the Christmas Nativity. The children were chosen to dress up as characters from the story and then with the help of the staff took part in the story, along with accompaniments from shakers and bells we sang along to the carols between each scene as Mary and Joseph arrived at Bethlehem, then the Angels, Shepherds and 1 king all gathered around the baby for Away in a Manger. This was a great way to celebrate Christmas with the children, I really enjoyed it. Lastly we all went to the restaurant and had a lovely social time together over dinner.

What a great Day!
